SoundTransit is a regional transit system serving the Greater Seattle area since September 19, 1999.
It was formed in 1996 by the Snohomish, King, and Pierce County Councils.
It operates express bus, commuter rail, and light rail service in the region and constructs capital projects in support and expansion of those services.
SoundTransit services approximately 96,000 riders a day, which means lots cleaning and IPC passed the test with flying colors.
